Facebook IQ has been studying parents, they interviewed parents aged 25 through 65 of children of all ages in eight different markets, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Spain, the UK and the US.  They analyzed their usage of Facebook and Instagram.

They found that mobile devices have become crucial tools for parents.  These parents also spend 1.3 times more time on Facebook mobile than non-parents.

However, parents are not just using their mobile devices to share milestones or research parenting information. They are using mobile devices to “make more informed purchasing decisions.” (Facebook IQ) read more

Facebook has a secret.  If you own a service company, you should really know about it.

Search Engine Land discovered an area on Facebook (desktop only) called “Facebook Professional Services.”  This area lists local businesses and service companies with user reviews, all in one place.

Facebook has not formally announced this feature, and a Facebook spokesperson emailed Search Engine Land saying “We’re in the early stages of testing a way for people to easily find more Pages for the services they’re interested in.” read more
