Facebook Marketing for many was rough in 2018.  With the data breaches, privacy issues, people shutting down their accounts, and the algorithm changes it was tough getting business messages in front of an audience.

However, if you implemented a few key themes your updates may have retained a reach and kept your audience engaged.

Buffer and BuzzSumo conducted a major study to determine the type of content that kept Facebook users captivated.  The study combed through 777 million Facebook posts and then took a closer look at the top 500 most popular posts of 2018. read more

For those of a certain age we can clearly recall paging through the Sears Catalog every December, marking up the items we desperately wanted Santa to bring us for Christmas. Flash forward to the 90’s and even early 00’s and most of us can relate to the Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Linen Source, LTD. Commodities (and so many more) catalogs that bombarded our mailboxes.

In 2007, the peak number of catalogs were mailed, totaling 19.6 million.  However, by 2016 retailers mailed out only 9.8 million catalogs. read more

Facebook Business Pages are not going anywhere any time soon.  I have been talking to business owners about Social Media, conducting seminars and providing full-service management of Facebook Business Pages for marketing and advertising services for nearly a decade.  During this time I heard many reasons for why businesses did not think they needed to bother with Facebook, including the thought that they were just a fad.

Well, Facebook recently released some numbers regarding the popularity of their Business Pages, and it proves more companies and organizations understand the importance of this tool in relation to the growth and relevance of their business. read more

Facebook has quietly rolled out a new layout for Business/Brand Pages.  The new format features a cleaner layout and a more organized look and feel.

The new layout has been popping up on a few Pages here and there this past summer.  At the time Facebook claimed they were only a test and made no indication that the new layout would become permanent for all Business Pages on the site.

However, as of last week most Businesses have seen the change to the layout and any Business Pages that have not seen the format change will very soon. read more

The more important Social Media Marketing becomes the harder it is to approach it as a do-it-yourself marketer.

Facebook is a free site, it started as a free platform and is still free.  Any person, business, organization or group can use it at no cost, that’s zero dollars.  Set up a Page and grow your audience and you can market to your network all day, every day for free.

Additionally, Facebook is a remarkable place to grow a business and generate new sales and revenue.

Facebook is a big part of the average adult’s daily habits.  Over 70% of online adults are using Facebook and they spend quite a bit of time on the site researching products and services, reading reviews and learning about new businesses, products and services. read more

Local home service companies have always relied on the phone book and mailers to gain new customers and generate leads.  This has worked great, but the game has changed.

Facebook marketing and advertising has better pricing, better reach and better results than any other advertising source.  Facebook Ads reach 89% of the intended audience, most other online advertising only reaches 38% of the intended audience.1

  • 74% of consumers rely on Social Media for more information or reviews about the products/services they want to purchase.2
  • 71% of consumers have an improved perception of brands when they see positive reviews on Social Media.3
  • 81% of people said they are influenced by what their friends share on Social Media.4

Your business simply must have an active Social Media presence.
