Facebook Stories are a visual way to share content, it is a feature that adds filters and effects to images, photographs, or videos on your phone.  Rather than just posting these images to Facebook, they are posted to the Stories section of Facebook App and are only available on mobile devices.

The Stories are shared only to specific people the user choses, through direct sharing.  Friends receiving Stories are only able to view it once.  Once the story ends, the image or video will no longer be visible. read more

In the past few weeks Facebook has made a few changes to the platform.  It seems like almost every week there is a new update, tool or tweak to the algorithm.

Facebook has quietly rolled out a new layout for Business/Brand Pages.  The new format features a cleaner layout and a more organized look and feel.

The new layout has been popping up on a few Pages here and there this past summer.  At the time Facebook claimed they were only a test and made no indication that the new layout would become permanent for all Business Pages on the site.

However, as of last week most Businesses have seen the change to the layout and any Business Pages that have not seen the format change will very soon. read more

Adam Mosseri, VP of Facebook Product Management, recently gave some advice and guidelines on how businesses can successfully navigate the Facebook News Feed algorithm and reach their followers by actually getting their content to the users’ News Feeds.

Mosseri pointed out four key measures that all businesses need to consider when putting their messages out onto Facebook.

  1. Compelling Headlines
  2. Avoiding Promotions
  3. Trying New Things
  4. Publisher Tools
