Facebook Adding 3D Photos to News Feed

During their annual F8 Conference this year, Facebook has been sharing some of the visual tools and features they plan to roll out.  Most of these new features focus on the evolving AR capacity of the platform.

However, there was one other feature that stood out on their coming soon list, but did not get a lot of attention.

3D Posts in CameraTake a 3D post from News Feed and experience it in your world with Facebook Camera on your mobile device.

3D posts will give a new look and depth to your posted images, for companies selling goods and products this will provide a way for potential customers to really view an item from every angle. An “eye-catching visual effect.”

Facebook will begin rolling out the feature mid-summer.

For more information on 3D photos see TechCrunch or visit Facebook for Developers.
