LinkedIn has officially announced it is rolling out its own Reaction Buttons, giving users more ways to express themselves.

LinkedIn has been doing a bit of renovation work on their Advertising Platform.  They are in the process of a bit of spring cleaning and refreshing the Ads for 2019.

Lookalike Audiences

90% of LinkedIn Users make household decisions.  41% of users in the United States earn $75,000 or more per year.  The estimated “value” of each user is $84.  This provides a good resource for your business to tap into a new market.

Businesses should be using LinkedIn to showcase their products and services, share industry information and should be posting their blogs and updates at least 20 times per month.  Posting at least 20 times per month will reach 60% of your audience, one post only reaches 20% of your audience.  Most of the top LinkedIn users post at least 3 to 4 times per day. read more

    There has been a lot of chatter from people who have been blocked from posting to LinkedIn groups.  Some people even advise that we all leave LinkedIn and find another social network.

    I agree that being blocked because of a perceived infringement (even if it was done quite innocently) is frustrating. In fact, it happened to me.

    A couple of years ago, I suddenly saw that none of my posts or comments were being published on LinkedIn. My sin: I published an article (that I did not write) on a topic that was on target for the group. However, I had not added a discussion question. The moderator (a direct competitor of mine) took the opportunity to block me because it was a “rule” of the group that posts needed a discussion question. read more

    I just received yet another endorsement from someone I have never worked with for a skill that they can’t possibly know I possess.  However, I have also received many endorsements from clients and colleagues, who do know what I do and appreciate my skills.

    So are endorsements useless or valuable?

    Obviously, LinkedIn recommendations carry a lot more weight. They are prominently displayed on LinkedIn Profile pages.  They can demonstrate your professionalism and expertise in the words of someone who has taken the time to open your Profile page, find and click on the correct link, answer some general questions, and then craft a thoughtful recommendation. read more
