Google AdWords used to be the internet standard for advertising.  Hiring a firm to optimize your website so you would rank closer to, if not at, number 1 in search results.  Adding in AdWords gave you an additional edge.

However, Facebook has been upping the ante with their advertising campaigns.  Creating very desirable features for businesses to use in order to get their business in front of people.

Starting immediately non-Facebook Users will see ads from the Platform outside the site.

This is a game changer!

Businesses can now target anyone who visits a website or mobile app within Facebook’s Audience Network, they do not have to have a Facebook account or use the site.

Until today, you had to be a Facebook user with an account to see ads created in the platform.

What is the Audience Network?

“The Audience Network is a collection of mobile apps where Facebook advertisers can serve ads using the same targeting and measurement tools that they use on Facebook. Essentially, running ads in the Audience Network extends an advertiser’s reach beyond Facebook and into mobile apps. Audience Network ads come in both native and display format for photos and videos…” (Facebook for Business) read more

Running Facebook Ads will guarantee sales right?  Wrong!

Facebook Ads are like any other Advertising source.  Whether it is the newspaper, television or a billboard the job of the Ad is to get people to notice your business and entice them to visit your website or store or pick up the phone and call.

Today, most businesses have a website, and most owners understand two important two things:  1) More people will find their businesses if their websites are on Page 1 of Google’s search results; and 2) Facebook is becoming a household word.  What is more difficult for them to grasp is what these facts actually mean when it comes to increasing sales.
