The awesome thing about Facebook is that you can set up a business page to feature your products and services for free.  You can have a presence on the largest Social Network for $0.

However, just because it’s free doesn’t mean it won’t cost you something.  In order for your efforts to be truly effective you will need to invest a budget to properly market and advertise your business on the site.

The first major investment you should make with a Facebook Marketing Strategy and Campaign is hiring someone who knows what they are doing.  If you don’t think paying someone is worth the cost, see if you are taking full advantage of the following features and if you or your employee in charge know what these features are and how to use them. read more

Instead they have made a change that will allow longer messages, but not change the character limit.

Twitter will soon stop counting photos and links in the 140-character limit. read more

Though many businesses still don’t understand the importance of using Social Media as a customer service tool.

Recently Sprout Social surveyed 1,000 consumers about what their top choice for customer care would be and 90% said they have used the Social sites to communicate with a brand.  Additionally, consumers tend to reach out on Social Media when they have a problem with a product/service before any other method of communication, including phone and email. read more

I hadn’t purchased a paper newspaper in a few years, but I bought a Sunday newspaper this past weekend.  My reason wasn’t to read it.  I heard newspaper is terrific to keep weeds out and I want to plant my garden next weekend.

Before using it as a weed barrier, I thought it might be interesting to read it – just like in the old days.  To my surprise, the sales ads and Sunday Magazine inserts were missing.  Since those had been my favorite parts of the paper, reading it was not as much fun as I had hoped. read more
